Our home resides in the Galena Territory, a semi-private, 6,800-acre recreational and residential lake community located just outside the historic city of Galena, Illinois. The owner's club offers indoor-outdoor swimming pools, a fitness center, gymnasium, and a game room. Just minutes from any of the Territory’s fantastic golf courses. Only a 10-minute/7 mile drive from Main Street in downtown Galena, and a 20-minute/13 mile drive from Chestnut Mountain ski resort

Quiet, felt secluded, yet minutes from downtown. Clean house that felt like home. Very comfortable bed in the main floor bedroom. Well stocked supplies such as seasoning, baggies, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even Q- tips. I would recommend this house to everyone. This house is not ideal if your family is looking for outside space to run around. This home also has a steep driveway which could be an issue in the winter.

The location was beautiful! Close to downtown galena, plenty of things to do around the house. Private and peaceful, if you’re looking for a place to stay out here we recommend this place!

The house and location were both excellent. The place was quiet, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. We cooked, relaxed, and enjoyed the beautiful views and local trails in the territory. Howard was very responsive and accommodating. A highlight of the trip was seeing a flock of wild turkeys walking through the yard!

The Galena Territory is beautiful and this home is a cozy spot close to the amenities. The house had things for small kids such as toys, pack and play etc. We were very happy with our stay here for our family.

Very comfortable and clean house in a nature setting. Enjoyed the whole Galena Territory experience. Easy to get to town and other areas we wanted to visit. Nice to come home and enjoy a glass of wine on the screened in porch.

This house was a great little find in the Galena Territory. It had everything we needed to enjoy a nice weekend with our family. Everything was as described, and we enjoyed taking advantage of the Eagle Ridge amenities, like the pool and walking paths. Despite the privacy, it was a quick 12-minute drive to downtown Galena.

Great stay in Galena Territory. The home was exactly as described and photographed. It is well positioned within the development, about 4 minutes from front entrance and about 6 minutes from the Owner’s Complex, and on a quiet cul-de-sac. The grounds were great for our dog (mix of woods and open lawn) and the home was perfectly suitable for our family’s stay. Howard was very responsive to questions pre-stay. Do note that not all bedrooms had blackout shades.

Comfy, private, great clubhouse amenities! We stayed with our adult kids, and the place was spacious and homey. Loved the private location and proximity to them charming community of Galena.
